Executive Development
"Treat people as if they were what they should be and you help them to become what they could be." (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe)
Managers are successful when they generate trust, respect and loyalty from their employees and motivate them to work together toward achieving company goals. This takes integrity, the responsible handling of power, and most importantly: personality.
Experience shows that new managers are often left to their own devices after only a few hours on the job. The consequences are, practically speaking, that they are almost always overwhelmed with their new role, and thus are either too authoritarian or too nonchalant in their approach.
Long-time managers often display obsolete management styles and apply out-dated methods. Self-reflection, the willingness for further development and increased know-how all strengthen managers in their credibility and reputation.
We are convinced that management is not rocket science. Managerial know-how and management tools can be learned and social competencies can be strengthened.
In our trainings and consultations we put the focus upon every manager becoming more secure in their role, and that they develop their own personal style of leadership. It is important that the manager thinks and acts as an "entrepreneur in the enterprise" (systemic understanding of businesses).
Together with you, we will develop management programs such as
- Preparing high potentials for manager positions
- Developing leadership competency and personal self-understanding
- Moving from managing to mentoring employees
And we offer individual modules for the following topics
- Leading without (disciplinary) leadership function
- Communicating via dialogue between manager and employee
- Delicate employee issues
- Ongoing controlling vs outcome control - setting up evaluation systems with target-orientated implementation
- Recognizing and developing different personalities, and utilizing the most appropriate resources each has to offer (licensed with MBTI and DISG)
- Creating a feedback culture: giving feedback - receiving feedback
- "Myth motivation" - creating a favorable environment and avoiding demotivation
- Managing teams and handling conflicts
- Self-organization for managers and employees: effectiveness instead of efficiency
- Mastering leadership’s complexity
- Work-life balance
... and we will also gladly support you with coaching for your managers.
